Placement exams are no longer given to new graduate students in Physics.
On Monday of general orientation week there will be a mandatory Safety Training Session followed by a department information session and lunch in East Bridge with current physics graduate students and faculty. Please note that new graduate students who arrive at Caltech prior to Orientation Week and Official Check-In Day, are required to visit the Registrar and Dean of Graduate Studies Office upon arrival. More information will be available at Check-In. Your course schedule "blue card" is to be completed, signed and submitted to the Registrar's Office no later than the end of the second week of instruction. You may attend classes before completing your registration. Subsequent add/drop cards must be returned directly to the Registrar's Office by the add/drop dates indicated on the current academic calendar.
