(Re)Connecting Cosmology and General Relativity

In this talk, I will describe newly discovered, smooth, non-singular bounce solutions. In particular, I will focus on how adapting insights and tools from mathematical and numerical relativity has been crucial for these constructions and why it will also be a central focus looking ahead.
