Film, Panel, & Stargazing
Come join us for a unique event dedicated to our planet and its future. The event will begin with a 30-minute film screening, highlighting the impact of the Earthrise photograph taken by Apollo 8 astronauts in 1968. Afterwards, we will have a panel Q&A consisting of experts in climate science, sustainable energy sources, and planetary atmospheres. We will also host guided stargazing with telescopes.
About the Series
Stargazing Lectures are free events at a public level followed by a Q&A panel and guided stargazing with telescopes (weather permitting). All events are held at the Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Caltech. No reservations are needed. Lectures are 30 minutes; stargazing and panel Q&A last 90 minutes. Stay only as long as you want.
Stargazing is only possible with clear skies, but the film and panel Q&A takes place regardless of weather.
