Dear Colleagues,
President Tom Rosenbaum will dedicate the Walter Burke Institute of Theoretical Physics on February 23, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. in Hameetman Auditorium, Cahill Center. Provost Ed Stolper, Director Hirosi Ooguri and a representative of the Sherman Fairchild Foundation will also be speaking at the dedication ceremony.
There will be an inaugural symposium on February 23-24, following the dedication, where current topics in theoretical physics will be presented by eight former prize fellows, with introductions by their mentors at Caltech. This is a major milestone for Caltech and PMA, as we strengthen our leading role in fundamental research with sustained financial support. I strongly encourage everyone to attend the dedication ceremony and show your support for the Burke Institute. There will be an open reception after the session on February 23.
