LIGO Seminar

Low Frequency Noises in the LIGO
Rana Adhikari, Professor of Physics, LIGO, Caltech,

There is excess noise in the LIGO detectors again.
The discrepancy between the measured noise and the expected noise is
mysterious.
It seems clear that this excess is not of astrophysical origin.
After a brief summary of the current noise budget knowledge below 100 Hz,
there will be some discussion of future trajectories in noise hunting.

We plan to broadcast these talks using TeamSpeak. Use a sub-channel of
LIGO Lab called "LIGO Seminar", which is not password protected.
NOTE: These and all other scheduled LIGO seminars are listed on the LIGO
Laboratory seminar calendar for convenient reference.
