Noncommutative Geometry Seminar

Very much in the spirit of F_1-theory, there has been done a lot of deep research on common combinatorial characterizations of certain classes of varieties (say, defined over finite fields). In the second lecture, I want to describe a number of such characterizations, with a particular focus on the F_1-aspects of the story.
