In the study of p-adic representations of p-adic groups, locally analytic vectors play an important role. Some representations contain *globally* analytic vectors under the pro-p Iwahori of the group. I will explain my results, in the case of GL(2), showing how base change (for unramified extensions) can be constructed in this context. This is the natural functorial map in p-adic Langlands duality.
