Realization of prism manifolds by integer surgery
William Ballinger & Tynan Ochse, Mathematics Department, California Institute of Technology,

A prism manifold is a quotient of the 3-sphere by the action of a central extension of a binary dihedral group. We determine which of these are the result of integral Dehn surgery along knots in the 3-sphere. Our methods are essentially the same as those used by Greene in his solution of the analogous problem for lens spaces. In the first hour, we will state these results and outline the arguments common to both our proof and Greene's that reduce the problem to a combinatorial one. In the second hour, we will go into the combinatorial parts of the proof in more depth. This is joint work with Chloe Hsu, Wyatt Mackey, Yi Ni, and Faramarz Vafaee.
