ABSTRACT: In this talk, I introduce the numerical relativity module within AthenaK, an open-source, performance-portable astrophysics code designed for exascale computing. Motivated by the need for high-fidelity gravitational waveforms and the challenges of scaling to next-generation hardware, AthenaK employs the Z4c formulation to solve the Einstein equations. We validate its precision through standard tests, including the convergence of gravitational waveforms from binary black hole coalescences. Furthermore, we present preliminary results on a gauge invariant comparison with SpECTRE on binary black hole evolution. Lastly, we discuss initial findings on ultra-relativistic black hole collisions.
