Who Does What

Many questions about graduate study will be answered on the Physics Graduate Program home page. Otherwise, Frank Porter (fcp@caltech) approves the advanced course requirements and assigns TA duties. Gil Refael (refael@caltech) will approve both oral exam and thesis defense committees. Unattached students can see Frank or Gil for registration signatures or petitions. David Hitlin (hitlin@caltech) is the Chairman of the Physics Graduate Admissions Committee. Otherwise, contact the Physics Graduate Office in 303 E. Bridge if a new student joins your group, or someone changes groups, has paycheck problems or needs to schedule the oral candidacy exam.
