Fluid Approaches to Optics and Imaging
Jason Fleischer, assistant professor of electrical engineering, Princeton University,
Speaker's Bio:
Jason Fleischer obtained his B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1993 and his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego in 1999. Following this, he was a Lady Davis Post-doctoral Fellow at the Technion-Israel Institute for Technology. In 2004, he took on his current position as assistant professor in the Electrical Engineering department at Princeton University. In addition to his work on optical hydrodynamics and photonic plasma, his research interests include nonlinear lattice dynamics, statistical physics, and holography. Recent awards include the Emerson Electric Co. Faculty Advancement Award and a Department of Energy Plasma Physics Junior Faculty Award.
