Thomas Wolff Memorial Lecture in Mathematics (Session I)

Integrable Systems: A Modern View
Percy Deift, professor of mathematics at NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, will discuss the history of the modern theory of integrable systems and how this led to the development of a variety of new mathematical techniques, which have found applications in areas far beyond their dynamical origins. This session is part of the Thomas Wolff Memorial Lecture in Mathematics.
