Jeremy Levy, professor of physics, University of Pittsburgh,
Speaker's Bio:
Professor Levy received his Physics B.A. from Harvard and Physics Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara, and joined the Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. His research interests lie in oxide nanoelectronics, experimental realizations for quantum computation, semiconductor spintronics, optics and novel assemblies of semiconductor quantum dots, and dynamical phenomena in oxide materials and films. He has received his University’s highest award for both research (2004) and teaching (2007), and received the Nano50 Innovator Award (2008) and was elected APS Fellow (2009).
