Charles M. Vest: Women in Science and Engineering

Dr. Charles M. Vest is president emertitus of MIT, having stepped down in December 2004 after 14 year in that post. He is a member of the MIT mechanical engineering faculty, is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, has served on the U.S. President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology since 1994, and has chaired the President's Committee on the Redesign of the Space Station and the Secretary of Energy's Task force on the Future of Science at the Department of Energy. He is a director of two corporations, holds six honorary doctorates, and was vice chair of the U.S. Council on Competitiveness for seven years.

This event is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required. Free parking is available in the parking structure on Wilson Avenue across from the Beckman Institute.
