Geometry and Topology Seminar

Framed instantons and Khovanov homology
Christopher Scaduto, Grad Student, Mathematics, UCLA,

In the past several years, much has been discovered towards a structural relationship between Floer-theoretic invariants of 3-manifolds and combinatorial link invariants. A first step was in the form of a spectral sequence from the reduced Khovanov homology of a link to the Heegaard Floer homology of the double branched cover of the link, done by Ozsv?ath and Szab?o. In this talk we discuss how this story carries through in the setting of instanton Floer homology.
