Geometry and topology of finite volume, bounded negatively curved manifolds

In this talk we will discuss some recent results on open
complete manifolds of nonpositive sectional curvature. Some open
problems and conjectures will be mentioned. Parts of this work are
joint with Avramidi and Phan.
