Homological mirror symmetry conjecture asserts an equivalence between the derived Fukaya category and the derived category of coherent sheaves of the mirror.  In this talk I will explain a geometric construction of mirror based on SYZ and Lagrangian deformation theory.  The construction always comes with a natural functor, which explains why homological mirror symmetry follows from construction.
