Massive gravity is not positive
Giulia Isabella, UCLA,

Massive gravity is a popular infrared deformation of Einstein's gravity, with multiple phenomenological implications including accelerated expansion of the universe without the need of a cosmological constant. In this talk I will discuss new positivity bounds at finite momentum transfer, showing that massive gravity parametrically violates these bounds unless the cutoff is within one order of magnitude of the graviton mass. These results effectively rule out massive gravity as a long distance theory consistent with a causal and unitary UV completion.

The talk is in 469 Lauritsen.
